Gossard has it’s origins in America at the turn of the last century. Founded by Henry William Gossard, the lingerie giant was initially set up to produce quality corsets and other lingerie related items. In the 1930’s Gossard moved over the pond and became a wholly British company.
Gossard has always been quick to respond to changes in fashion. During the 1970’s they produced a sheer bra that made breasts look natural under clothing. This new style of bra was created in response to the many bra burning protests that took place during this era. It was with this same innovation that Gossard were the first brand to produce the Wonderbra with it’s famous billboard campaigns featuring top supermodels.
