Rachel’s Poor Body Image…

Gok Wan’s done it again with a great episode of How To Look Good Naked this week! This week’s lucky makeover subject was Rachel, a size 14 nurse. Alas, Rachel hated her body and felt that her 5ft 10″ frame made her look like a chunky bloke in drag! Rachel was constantly hiding her figure underneath baggy and shapeless clothing, and had even refused to marry her partner for fear of what she would look like on her wedding day.

With Rachel’s 40th birthday approaching, and her worsening body image sometimes preventing her from leaving the house, it was time to bring in the big guns. Gok Wan to the rescue!

Rachel’s Makeover

Gok’s solution to Rachel’s poor body image? Imagine her shock when he told her she was to drive around with a giant image of her in only a bra on her car bonnet! She proceeds to give many motorists a lot more than they bargained for…

Then Gok turns his attentions to letting Rachel see just how small she actually looks to other people with a line up of size 14 models in the same scrubs she wears to work all day long. With this done, Gok turns his design attentions to Rachel’s own work uniform, giving it a stylish makeover… by cutting it up and re-styling it.

As usual, Gok’s “feel good naked” therapy is rounded off with a spell for Rachel in a shop window displaying her body’s wares to the world!

Finally, at Rachel’s big catwalk finale she is pursuaded to show a bit of bum to all her spectators.

We doubt she’ll be worried about what she looks like in a wedding dress after this experience… her confidence is revitalised and its another massive success for Gok Wan and his makeover team!
