Burberry To Consider New Underwear Line

Burberry designer Christopher Bailey has let it slip that they luxury goods company are strongly considering launching a new designer underwear line. The fashion label which is all too well known for it’s lines in Burberry check is still very much in the planning stages and has no launch date planned.

“At the moment we’re not really talking about a launch date but it’s something that’s absolutely in the pipeline,” Said Bailey after a Milan fashion show for Burberry’s new Winter 2009 Menswear lines.

It’s no surprise Burberry are considering creating an underwear line. Other big labels such as Armani and D&G have had underwear lines for a long time. High end brands tend to use underwear lines to draw in new customers with fewer resources. However, one can’t help remembering that Burberry attempted something like this with their accessories range a few years ago. You’d have to have been blind not to remember those baseball caps and scarves.

Now, we here at Lingerie Brands are by no means experts in the field of lingerie design and we are pretty sure that Burberry don’t check out our pages for ideas…but we absolutely know what you SHOULD NOT do Burberry.
