This brand was founded by Scottish corsetry entrepreneur Michelle Mone in 1999, with her simple concept in mind; to give the women of today what they want. The former model got her industry experience in front of the camera and on the catwalk at the start of her career and transferred her industry knowledge and PR savvy to create one of the UK’s most popular and well known brands. With offices based in Govan, Michelle has stayed true to her Glasgow roots and runs her increasingly popular underwear empire from her home town.

The brand offers a range of designer bras, knickers, thongs, suspenders and other matching items from cups A-D, and a range of D-G cups. From it’s humble beginnings on the banks of the River Clyde the company has enjoyed a meteoric rise to be one of the leading designer underwear brands in the UK. 145 concessions within department store Debenhams has ensured this this brand is firmly in the hearts of bra shoppers the length and breadth of the UK.

Ultimo’s first rise to popularity was thanks to a range of boob boosting bras featuring silicone gel. Those cleavage enhancing wonders were the core of the original range launched by Michelle back in 1999. The Miracle Solutions Plunge bra is still a stalwart in the retailer’s range and was worn by Julia Robers in Erin Brockovich giving the brand a massive helping of Hollywood sex appeal!

High profile media exposures and celebrity spokesmodels such as Peaches Geldof and MelB have ensured this brand is rarely out of the public eye. All of which is a testament to Michelle Mone’s PR savvy.
