Marlies Dekkers is a well known lingerie designer based in the Netherlands. Marlies Dekkers is a relative newcomer to the world of high fashion lingerie, having only graduated from fashion school in 1991. However, she instantly grabbed the attention of the fashion world with her now-famous “bare buttocks dress”, a creation that left little to the imagination!
Marlies Dekkers set out to design a lingerie brand that would set the imagination of Dutch women alight. strong, sexy, self-aware and with a perfect fit. She has succeded admirably in this quest and is now the proud owner of several high-end lingerie boutiques in the Netherlands, and her name has become synonymous with innovative underwear styles. This was confirmed in 2004 when she was awarded the Elle Innovator of the Year award. “Imagination is Always Free” is a personal motto of Marlies.
