Australians really do love their beach lifestyle and that should go a little way towards explaining the huge success which has been enjoyed by Seafolly. This Aussie brand is still privately owned after being founded by a husband and wife team back in 1975. Peter and Yvone Halas created the business with an expert eye for design, and this attention to design has meant that the business remains in the family to this day.

Peter and Yvonne have now retired and have handed control of the business to their son, Anthony.

Seafolly’s success has come from the brand’s ability to recognise the consumers desire for a fashion driven range which fits well. The experienced beachwear designers have expanded their ranges to include many beach accessories including hats, bags, sunglasses and towels.

The collections have a three pronged product stream. Ladies, which targets women aged 18 to 35 and includes high fashion beachwear. Girls, which is for girls aged 0 to 13 and offers a range of fashionable swimwear, bikinis, and matching accessories. Finally, Tiger Joe produces fashion swimwear for boys aged 0 to 8. All their ranges for children use fabric containing SPF 50+
